On the Edge of the Lake
Standing on the edge of a salt lake you can almost hear the salt as it crackles. The sun emphasizes the brilliance of the white as the soft purple rain falls. The trees and bushes lean towards the white but its not water and the birds twitter as they fly around on their busy chores. “There is several salt lakes in Western Australia which I love to visit and at times, camp. The peace and tranquility quietens the restless soul.” This painting was a finalist at the Paddington Landscape competition 2019.
